Mega Whirlwind

Remember the Estes Tornado/Twister rocket? It was a fun little guy that separates into two pieces, and both of them helicopter down, maple-seed style.

If you've ever had one, you probably don't anymore, because these were a favored sacrifice to the sky gods. They went so high, so fast, and were so small coming down.

We took the overall design, preserving the aerodynamics and look, and actually improved on it in three key ways:

> The engine is easier to install (no friction fit) and the sections fit together with a coupler.

> The wing loading on descent is improved, for safe recovery.

> It's big enough to see throughout the flight, so you won't lose out on all the twirly fun!

The Super Whirlwind is a whopping 3.5x upscale (BT-80) of the original Estes design with a 24mm engine mount and is one of the easiest rockets you'll ever fly.
